The Waterford Stanley Tara is a substantial cast-iron, multi-fuel stove designed to deliver controllable heat directly into the room. Its maximum output is 8kW, while the current Tara Non-Boiler Eco manual lists nominal outputs of 6.7kW with wood and 7.1kW with mineral smokeless fuel.

The Tara combines traditional construction with Ecodesign-compliant performance, an A+ energy rating and up to 80.5% efficiency. Its removable ash-handling components simplify routine cleaning, while top and rear flue options give the installer flexibility when planning the chimney connection.

Why Choose the Waterford Stanley Tara?

The Tara is suited to customers who prefer the weight, appearance and heat-retaining character of a traditional cast-iron stove but also require modern combustion performance. Its separate controls allow the burn rate to be adjusted for the selected fuel and chimney conditions.

Overnight-burning capability provides the option of extending the burning period when the stove is fuelled and operated correctly. Actual burn duration will vary according to the fuel, load, air settings and chimney draught, so it should not be treated as a guaranteed all-night burn time.

At approximately 135kg, the Tara is a substantial appliance. Before ordering, Ganly’s recommends confirming the room’s heat requirement and having the hearth, chimney, ventilation and installation clearances assessed by a qualified stove installer.

Fuel Compatibility

The Tara’s published performance figures are based on seasoned wood and suitable mineral smokeless fuel. Waterford Stanley also lists approved coal, anthracite and peat briquettes as compatible fuels.

Use only dry fuel permitted by the operating manual and current local regulations. Wood logs should not exceed approximately 300mm. Never burn wet wood, petroleum-coke products, household waste or painted and chemically treated timber.

Home Delivery

We have partnered with DPD to provide fast and secure delivery anywhere in Ireland and Northern Ireland. To track your DPD parcel, click HERE.

DPD delivery covers all of Ireland and Northern Ireland for €9.95 up to 31kg. Excluding bulky and oversized items, we do not charge extra for multiple items shipping to the same address.

Please allow 1–4 working days for standard delivery. Large items, pallets, and bulky or oversized items can take up to 10 working days. Items that are special order from the manufacturer may take longer. You will be notified if there is an extended delivery time on any item you purchase.

We will notify you by email once your order has been dispatched and provide a tracking number so you can track your order. Our delivery drivers will call you approximately one hour before delivery. A signature is required on all deliveries.

Click-and-Collect

Any item ordered online can be collected from any Ganly's store. Simply choose the "Collect In-Store" option at checkout and select your preferred store, date, and time. We will have the item ready for you as quickly as possible.

Click-and-Collect orders do not incur a delivery charge. You will receive an email confirming when your item is ready for collection. Please bring a printed or digital copy of your order confirmation when collecting.

Order Processing & Shipping

We process orders 6 days a week, all year round, excluding bank holidays and public holidays. Our courier partners collect orders at 3pm Monday to Friday. Orders placed on Friday after 3pm will be collected the following Monday.

Please check the contents of your package on arrival. If any items are damaged during shipment, notify us immediately upon opening the package and retain all packaging materials.

Damages & Returns

When you purchase online, you have a statutory right to return a product (other than perishable goods) within 14 days of delivery (cooling-off period). We can amend or cancel an order up until it is dispatched. If the order has already been dispatched, you may return the product for a refund, excluding return delivery costs. If a product is damaged or faulty, please contact us and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

Ganly's Returns — 3 Easy Ways

Step 1 — Return In-Store
Bring a copy of your emailed receipt along with the item to any Ganly's store for an exchange or refund.

Step 2 — Post or Courier
Send the item back via post or courier, including your order number and a contact phone number. Once we receive the item in its original condition, we will contact you to arrange your refund or exchange. If the item is not returned in full merchantable quality with original packaging, a discounted refund may apply.

Step 3 — We Collect It
Call us on (090) 643 5300 and we will arrange a courier collection from your address. This service costs €9.00, which will be deducted from your refund or exchange amount. Available for addresses within the island of Ireland only.
