How to Choose the Right Stove
Start with the room and how you want to heat it. A stove that is too powerful can make a smaller room uncomfortable, while an undersized stove may struggle to provide the heat you expect. Consider room size, required kW output, fuel type, chimney or flue, ventilation and whether you need room-only or boiler heating.
For insert and cassette stoves, fireplace dimensions are also important. For boiler stoves, correct system sizing and compatibility should be established before purchase.

Stove FAQs
What size stove do I need?
The correct kW output depends on factors including room size, insulation and heat loss. Bigger is not automatically better, so the stove should be appropriately sized for the space.
What is the difference between a boiler and non-boiler stove?
A non-boiler stove primarily heats the room in which it is installed. A boiler stove can also transfer heat into a compatible heating and/or hot-water system and requires appropriate system design.
What is an insert or cassette stove?
Insert and cassette stoves are designed to fit into a suitable fireplace opening or built-in installation, creating a more integrated appearance than a traditional freestanding stove.
Does Ganlys sell stove accessories?
Yes. Ganlys stocks stove and fireplace products including flue components, stove maintenance products, fire cement, rope seals, cleaning products and selected replacement parts.
